Bennett Spring State Park opened up for veterans Saturday.
People who have served in the military were invited to fish for free and take part in a slate of special activities.
Mike Swanson, program lead with the Leavenworth Project Healing Waters program and Heartland Regional Coordinator said events took place much of the day.
