Willis R. “Willie’’ Martin, 72, of Camdenton, died Saturday, Nov. 20, 2021, in Springfield.

He was born Aug. 31, 1949, in Competition, Mo. to Ray L. and Venice Massey Martin.

Willie was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Wally and Wayne; and one nephew, Tim Martin.

After graduating high school, Willie joined the United States Army and proudly served our country for a period of time. He was an auto parts distributor for the majority of his life. He was a Corvette and NASCAR enthusiast and spent as much time as he could fishing and coon hunting. Those who knew Willie best, knew he was a prankster and story teller. His smile was infectious and love for others limitless. His friends and family were his greatest accomplishment. He loved them dearly.

He is survived by two daughters, Ellen Visconte and her husband David of Marshfield, and Brittany Smith and her husband Brian, also of Marshfield; our grandchildren, Victoria, Christopher and Nicholas Visconte and Shelby Smith; nephew, Greg Martin and his family; niece, Angie Boatwright and her husband Jason and their family, all of the Kansas City area; ex-wife and friend, Eileen Busick; countless other longtime friends and family, including, Paul Lowery and family, Dale Admire and family, Ron Richards and family, Rick Price and family and Larry Price and family.

A Celebration of Life visitation for Willis R. “Willie’’ Martin will be held from 5-8 p.m. Friday, Nov. 26, 2021, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. There is no scheduled burial. There is no scheduled burial. At his request, his body is to be cremated under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
