Richard L. Boose, 63, of Liberty, died Tuesday evening, Feb. 2, 2021, at the Centerpoint Medical Center in Independence.

He was born July 2, 1957, in Kansas City, Kan. to Joseph M. and Myrtle I. Farris Boose, who preceded him in death.

On Oct. 16, 1999, he married Monica Jo Jenkins and they shared the last 25 years.

He was born and raised in Kansas City, Kan., where he received his education. He then began working as an automobile technician, a career he would maintain for most of his life. He had done auto body painting, and also drove a tow truck for some time. He had made his home in the Liberty, Mo. area since 1993, where he and Monica continued to to live after they were married.

Richard had made his profession of faith in Christ and was a member of Harmony Heights Baptist Church in Liberty.

He is survived by his wife Monica Jo Boose of the home in Liberty; his two sons, Richard “Joseph’’ Boose and his significant other, Dana, of St. Joseph, and Stanley Clyde Boose and his wife Brittany of Kansas City; two stepdaughters, Amanda Robinette and her husband Keith of Liberty, and Sarah Smith of Kansas City; as well as 13 grandchildren, and a brother, Robert Boose of Richmond.

Funeral services for Richard Lee Boose will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Feb. 8, 2021, at the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon with Keith Robinette officiating. Burial will be in Plad Cemetery near Plad, Mo. Visitation will be 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Monday t the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon. A memorial to the Children’s Center for the Visually Impaired has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
