Infant Rebecca L. Mae Mercer, of Phillipsburg, died Wednesday, Oct. 6, 2021, in Springfield.
She was born Oct. 6, 2021, in Springfield, Mo. to Grant and Jasmine Howerton Mercer.
Rebecca was preceded in death by her great-grandparents, Roger and Loyce Tribble, James Howerton, Joyce Grooms and Jeffrey L. Mercer.
She is survived by her parents, Grant and Jasmine Mercer; siblings, Rilynn, Ellie and Owen Mercer; maternal grandparents, Rick and Janara Howerton of Phillipsburg; paternal grandparents, Jeff Mercer and Joanna Smith of Bainbridge, Ohio and Jill Hoggsett of the state of Pennsylvania; aunts and uncles, Jordan and Megan Howerton and their children, Jackson, Duke, Lennon and Dean of Peoria, Ariz.; Jared and Kelsey Howerton and their children, Kylan, Knox, Kooper and Kannon of Branson; Josh Howerton of Phoenix, Ariz.; Haley and Brady Huckaby and their children, Kelli and Andi of Conway; Kasey Hendrix of Peoria, Ariz.; Hannah and Joey Tomer and their children, Brantley, Bryson and Faith of Plain City, Ohiop; Alysha and Casey Jester and their children, Grayson, Abram and Peyton of Highland, Ohio; John Quigley of Chesterfield, Va. and Tater Hawkins of Conway; great-grandparents, Maudie Howerton of Phillipsburg; Rubi and Bradley Bourne of Hillsboro, Ohio and Donna Mercer of Greenfield, Ohio; great-great-grandparents; Brenda May and Edith Druce; great-aunts and uncles, Holly and Kelly Hendrix of Phillipsburg; Vicky Owens of Fair Grove; Linda Stokes of Lebanon; Jeff and Sue Stokes of Edmond, Okla.; Keith and Tina Raypole of Bainbridge, Ohio; Tom and Lynn Talbott of New Vienna, Ohio; Rick and Robin Yochum of Marshall, Ohio; Keith and Donna Bouren of Greenfield, Ohio; Jared and Melissa Bourne of Hillsboro, Ohio; Clayton Bourne of Phoenix, Ariz., and Aaron and Sandy Bourne of Hillsboro, Ohio; numerous cousins; other relatives and countless family friends.
A visitation for Rebecca L. Mae Mercer will be held from 10-11:30 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 12, 2021, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
There will be a private burial at Harmony Cemetery near Conway, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
