MOLLIE MAE SCOTT

Mollie Mae Scott, 83, of Stoutland, died Monday, Oct. 5, 2020, in Osage Beach.

She was born Aug. 11, 1937, in Lebanon, Mo. to Thomas and Ruby Coyle Brown.

On Sept. 7, 1956, she married Donald Millard Scott.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Terry Don Scott; siblings, Vadie Brown, Tommy Lane, Sid Brown and LaGayle Malin; a half brother, Harry Brown; a half sister, Melva Webster; one sister in infancy, Wanda Lou Brown; granddaughter, Tanya Borlase and her husband Jeff, and an infant granddaughter, Madeline Trandum.

Mollie was a devoted homemaker. She was employed with Brown Shoe Factory in Richland as a young woman. In later years, she was employed at Stoutland Schools as a cook.

She was a faithful and active member of High Point Baptist Church.

She is survived by Mollie is survived by her husband Don of the home; two sons, Doug Scott and his wife Sandy of Stoutland; and Jeff Scott and his wife Lisa, of Richland; one daughter, Brenda Trandum and her husband Don of Montreal; daughter-in-law, Carrie Scott; one brother, Jimmy Brown and his wife Dixie of Springfield’ eight grandchildren, Donnie Trandum and his wife Laurie, Levi Trandum and his wife Sarah, Joey Scott and his wife Krystal, Ashley Painter and her husband Andrew, Brittany Potthoff, Becky Groebl and her husband Jim, Ben Scott and his wife Jasmine and Cassie Krampe and her husband Eric; 28 great-grandchildren, Taylor, Kaya, Alexis, Tristan, Meseret, Melaku, Steven and Eli Borlase, Kendra, Jacob Hannah and Joshua Trandum, Adreanna, Seth, Grant and Carl Trandum, Amelia, Ruby and Henry Groebl, Olivia, Della and Deacon Scott, Lucas and Liam Scott, Owen and Oliver Potthoff, Halle Krampe and Aceyn Painter; two sisters-in-law, Bobbie Brown of  Stoutland, and Hazel Morrow of Iberia; brother-in-law, Bob Lane of Springfield; other relatives and many friends.

A graveside service and burial for Mollie Mae Scott will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 14, 2020, at High Point Cemetery with Larry Chaffin officiating under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until graveside service at 2 p.m. at High Point Cemetery. Under the guidelines of the CDC and the state of Missouri, the staff of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel ask that you observe social distancing and proper hygiene. Those guidelines will be monitored during this time to accommodate the family and their wishes.
