Johnnie Lee “John’’ Barrett, 74, of Buffalo was born Aug. 1, 1949, in Kellyville, Okla. to Sidney R. and Flossie L. Barrett and died Friday, Aug. 18, 2023, at the Harry S Truman Memorial Veterans’ Hospital in Columbia. He is survived by his wife Linda Faye Barrett; three sons, John Edward Barrett and life partner, Jennifer Alcorn, Raymond Lee “Ray’’ Barrett and wife Christine, and Benny Wayne Sharpe; three daughters, Peggy Sue Sharpe, Lisa Nicole Sharpe, and Jennifer Renee Sharpe; three sisters, LeNetia Marie Zinnert, Nora Fay Barrett, and Deborah Yeonne Hector; one brother, Sidney Ray Barrett; 15 grandchildren, and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 27, 2023, at Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo. Visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Sunday in the funeral home.
