James “Jamie” M. Torrence, Jr. 32, of Lebanon passed away Saturday, Aug. 19, 2023, in his home.
He was born March 10, 1991, in Springfield to James M. Torrence, Sr. and Bonnie Edwards Cornelison. He was raised in Lebanon and was a 2009 graduate of Lebanon High School. Following graduation, he was employed in factories in Lebanon and also worked in construction.
Jamie was preceded in death by his father, James Michael Torrence, Sr.; his step-brother, Nathan Cornelison; his grandparents, Louis J. Torrence, Sr., Howard and Algie Edwards and Joan Cornelison.
He is survived by his mother and step-father, Bonnie and Mark Cornelison of Lebanon; his brother, Joseph Torrence of Lebanon; a step-brother, Matt Cornelison and his significant other, Tiffany Green; three children, Madelynn, Mikah and Titus; and his grandmother, Marilyn Torrence; his grandfather, Marchie Cornelison, both of Lebanon; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Jamie had a bubbly personality and a big heart. He enjoyed hanging out with his friends and family and was very easy going. He enjoyed going on adventures and being in the great outdoors. He loved hunting, bow hunting and fishing. He was admired by his family with his strength and stamina. Jamie had faith in Jesus Christ. This faith was very important to him and it carried him through difficult times.
He enjoyed spending time with his family and being a dad to his three children. He was taken from this earth much too soon and will be missed by those who knew and loved him.
Funeral services for Jamie Torrence will be Saturday, Aug. 26 at 11 a.m. at Holman-Howe Funeral Home. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. - 11 a.m. at the funeral home. A memorial to the children’s education fund has been established and memorials may be made through the funeral home. Please make checks to Bonnie Cornelison.
