Frank Earl Cox, Jr., 72, of Buffalo, died Dec. 12, 2020, in Springfield.
He was born Sept. 3, 1948, in Buffalo to the late Frank Earl Cox, Sr. and Billie (Powell) Miller.
Frank was raised by his grandparents, Steve and Willa Cox, in the Buffalo area and graduated from Buffalo High School. He went to work at Harker Paint before opening his own concrete construction business.
He was united in marriage to Janice McHenry on December 12, 1969 and to this union one son was born, Stephen Paul Cox.
Frank enjoyed hunting and sucker fishing, but his greatest joy was spending time with his two grandchildren.
Frank was preceded in death by his parents; his grandparents; and one sister, Connie Sue Cox.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Janice of the home; his son, Stephen Paul and wife Jennifer Cox of Elkland, MO; two grandchildren, Anna Marie Cox and Stephen Paul Cox, Jr.; and one sister, Cynthia Crews of Fair Grove, MO. He also leaves many nieces, nephews, other family members, and many friends.
Graveside services were held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, in the Memorial Gardens of Memory Cemetery with Pastor Mark Elliott officiating. Services are under the direction of Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.
