Ella May King, 92, of Phillipsburg, formerly of Conway, died Friday, July 1, 2022, in Lebanon.

She was born May 5, 1930, in Dallas County, Mo. to James William and Anna M. Thurman Dill.

On Sept. 10, 1949, she married William King.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband William on July 6, 2001; her son, Jerry King and by her brothers and sisters and their spouses.

Ella May attended school in rural Dallas County. After marriage she became a dedicated homemaker, and worked hard to provide a warm and loving home for her family. She loved the outdoors, whether working in her vegetable or flower gardens, picking rock or picking sticks around her yard, outdoors is where she loved to be.

She is survived by her daughter, Susie Bunton and her husband Jim of Phillipsburg; grandchildren, Stephanie Wright ( Joe), J.W. Frank (Bethany), Sherrie King (Tony Embry), Jeremiah King, Denise Smith (Ed) and their family, Nancy Simpson and her family, Tim Bunton and his family;  seven great-grandchildren, Kaylin, Joe, Ivy, Ryan, Noah, Lane, James Alan and Natalie;  her daughter-in-law, Sharon King of Humansville, Mo.;  other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Ella May King will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2022, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Steve Jones officiating. Burial will be in Roper Cemetery near Morgan, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. also on Wednesday prior to the service at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
