Donald L. Goddard, 75, of Lebanon, died Dec. 15, 2020, in Osage Beach.
He moved to Missouri in 2007 to enjoy retirement at his rural home where he enjoyed gardening, hunting and working with his machine tools.
He was born July 21, 1945, in Chicago, Illinois, to Raymond A. and Laura Gwendolyn Goddard, but grew up in southern Michigan.
Over the course of his career he worked in several different states, but most enjoyed teaching Mechanical Engineering at the University of Texas at Tyler, from which he retired.
He married Diane J. Soule in 1966 and they had four children, of whom, Nathaniel, preceded him in death. He is survived by his wife and three children, Peter Goddard, Sarah Murphy, and Charity Goddard, as well as seven grandchildren.
There will be a memorial service at a later date. According to his wishes, his body has been cremated.
