Donald Dean Daves, 82, of Buffalo, died Monday, July 19, 2021.

He was born Oct. 21, 1938, in Clayton, N.M. to Elmer and Roxie (Faircloth) Daves.

On July 3, 1958, he married Glenna Owns.

He was preceded in death by his wife Glenna; his parents; two brothers, Wayne and Tracy; and a sister, Bonnie Casey.

Donald was a former sheriff, and also worked for Phillips Petroleum.

He is survived by his daughter, Debra and husband Tom French of Durant, Okla.; his son, Bryan and wife Sheila Daves of Buffalo; four grandchildren, Shadley Gonzalez and husband Jarrad of Stinnet, Texas, Kaden French and wife Leaugeay of Durant, Oklahoma, Stephanie Bailey and husband Spencer of Conway, and Sharon Daves; five great-grandchildren Kyah, Sage, London, Ryken, and Sutton; one sister, Betty Waters; and one brother, Dale Daves.

Funeral services for Donald Dean Daves were held at 10 a.m. Friday, July 23, 2021, at the First Christian Church in Buffalo with Pastor Tim Case officiating. Burial was in Church Grove Cemetery in Foose, under the direction of Cantlon Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to First Christian Church in Buffalo.
