Cheryl J. Orvis, 71, of Lebanon, died Friday, Oct. 16, 2020, in Jefferson City.
She was born July 27, 1949, in Danville, Ill. to Ralph Harold and Grace Adeline Hopkins Judy, who preceded her in death.
On Dec. 7, 1973, she married John Robert Orvis.
She was raised in Phillipsburg, and graduated from Phillipsburg High School. She then became a certified nursing assistant and worked at a hospital, where she met John. After they were married, they made their home in Laclede County and lovingly raised their daughters. Cheryl had done factory work and had been employed by Walmart for a time. She also was a devoted homemaker to her husband and family.
She was an active member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses of Buffalo. Survivors include her husband John Orvis of Lebanon and two daughters, Laurie Anne Scott-Schofield and husband Richard of Buffalo, and Olivia McFadden and husband Cash of Lebanon.
Funeral services for Cheryl J. Orvis were held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 21, 2020, at Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
