Billie Rinehart Jones, 96, of Richland, died Thursday, Jan. 7, 2020, in Osage Beach.

He was born May 8, 1924, in Richland, Mo. to John William and Maude Mae Rinehart Jones.

On Feb. 28, 1946, he married Mary Aleen Jones.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Mary Aleen Jones; an infant daughter; two brothers, Jimmy and Johnnie Jones; two sisters, Alice Hagg and Mary Lou Jennaman.

Billie attended school in Richland. At the age of 16 he joined the Civilian Conservation Corps and later enlisted in the United States Army, where he served proudly during World War II. After discharged from the service, he worked as a mechanic for Payne Chevrolet and Hawk Chevrolet.

He was a member of First Christian Church of Richland.

Survivors include one son, Bill Jones of Richland; three daughters, Mary Nunley and her husband of Richland; Billie Marie Snider of Ozark, and Connie Lentz of Richland; 13 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Billie Rinehart Jones will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Landon Justice officiating. Burial with military honors by the United States Army will be held in Oaklawn Cemetery in Richland. Visitation will be one hour prior to the funeral service at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
