Aubrey Joe Burgess Sr., 85, of Urbana, formerly of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2020, at his home.
He was born July 14, 1935, in LaHabra, Calif. to Aubrey Harold and Sarah Lois (Wood) Burgess.
On July 18, 1995, he married Dicie Elizabeth (Corum) Burgess.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Aubrey “Little Joe’’ Burgess Jr.
Aubrey graduated from Lebanon High School. On April 11, 2004, he joined Prairie Chapel Methodist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Dicie of the home; a son, Tracy Burgess of Grandview; two stepdaughters, Amelia Miller and husband Michael of Urbana and Diana Williams and husband Kelly of Belleville, Ill.; one stepson, Scott Jones of Belleville, Ill.; eight grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; two brothers, Jim Burgess of Conway, and Don Burgess of Winchester, Ky.; several nieces and nephews, as well as a host of other relatives and friends.
Services will be made at a later date under the direction of Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home of Buffalo.
