SFC (Ret) Richard Lavertt Dembey, 76, of St. Robert, a retired United States Army Sergeant First Class, died Sunday, April 28, 2024, in his home.
SFC (Ret) Dembey is survived by two daughters,Theresa Dembey (Burt) of Dixon, and Kelly Dembey of Waynesville, and their mother, Jane Dembey of Dixon; three grandchildren, Richard Gilbert (Hannah), Michael Thomas Dembey, and Ashley Gilbert; six great-grandchildren, Rylee Dale Rayn Gilbert, Ryber Lee Fairbanks, Christopher Ryan Fairbanks, Rikki Tru-Rayn Gilbert, Everlee Kay Irene Fairbanks, and Waylon Gilbert; one sister, Sandra Rothberg of the state of New York,; one brother: Thoman Dembey of Big Flats, N.Y.; brother-in-law: Loren Oakden (Connie) of Corning, N.Y.; several nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Graveside services with military honors will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 2, 2024, in the Waynesville Memorial Park Cemetery of Waynesville.
Memorial contributions may be made in memory of SFC (Ret) Richard Dembey and may be left at Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville / St. Robert.
