Zachary Jacob “Zack’’ Kieffer, 26, of Fort Leonard Wood, Mo., died Monday, Nov. 27, 2021, in Lebanon.
He was born June 15, 1995, Dubuque, Iowa to Jacob Jon Kieffer and Elizabeth Chaney Kieffer.
Survivors include his wife, drill Sgt. Emiley Kieffer, his parents Jacob Kieffer of Galena, Ill. and Elizabeth Kieffer and his brother, PFC Nicholas Kieffer of Bettendorf, Iowa; parental grandparents are Russ and Judy Kieffer of Galena, Ill. and maternal grandparents Michael and Mary Ann Chaney of Cordova, Ill.; his paternal uncles Matthew, Nathan, Justin, Ben, and Aunt Amanda Kieffer and their respective families; his maternal uncle Mark Chaney and aunts Elissa Heitzler and Maura Kelley and their respective families, also many friends and colleagues.
A military service with military honors for Zachary Jacob “Zazh’’ Kieffer were held from 1:30-2:00 p.m. Friday, Dec. 3, 2021, at the Fort Leonard Wood State Veterans Cemetery.
