In front of a large crowd on Saturday afternoon, the Lebanon High School girls’ basketball program decided it was time to retire the jersey of the most outstanding player in program history.

Kelsey Winfrey’s No. 1 jersey will hang in the rafters of Boswell Auditorium forever, becoming the first-ever Lady ‘Jacket to get her respective jersey retired.

As a senior in 2017, Winfrey finished the year with a team-high 21.6 points, 7.4 rebounds, 3.6 assists, and 4.9 steals per game. She was also a Miss Show-Me Basketball finalist her senior year.

After her senior year, she committed to play basketball at the University of Missouri, where she played two seasons and appeared in 27 games before transferring to Drury her junior season. According to Drury Athletics, in her first year with the Lady Panthers, she averaged 5.8 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 1.5 steals in 12.9 minutes per game. In 2020-21, she averaged 6.2 points per game and was a part of the National Runner-Up team.
