William Ray Webster, a cherished soul known for his kind heart and selfless nature, passed away on February 22, 2024, following an automobile accident in Marshfield. Born on October 7th, 1998, in Osage Beach, William was a beacon of light in the lives of all who knew him, embodying generosity and a willingness to lend a hand wherever needed.
Preceded in death by his grandparents Julia A. Morgan and Claudie Webster, his uncle Charles Hudson, and his great-grandparents Vada Hudson and Vernon and Mary Lou Roark, William’s legacy is continued through his loving family. He is survived by his devoted parents, Payton and Victoria Dailing of Stoutland, and his father Pad Webster. William’s spirit is remembered fondly by his brothers Andrew Webster of Las Vegas, Nevada, PFC Tristen Webster of Stoutland, Kyle Williams of Mountain View, and Randuel Dailing of Success. His sisters Debra Dailing and Morgan Ring also hold dear the memories of their beloved brother.
William’s extended family includes his aunts and uncles, Crystal and Cody Deckard of Lebanon, Emily and Daniel Good of Springfield, Dina and Casey Reeves of Lebanon, Mary and Robert Gourley of Camdenton, Stephanie Webster of Arcadia, Missouri, Sarah and Ron Elkins of Arcadia, Eva and Gary Gammons of Richland, Rex and Crissy Morgan of Stoutland, Tommy Hudson of Long Lane, and Nate and Kat Haney of Lebanon. His grandparents Rubben and Rebecca Hudson of Lebanon, grandmother Fern Webster of Arcadia, and grandmother Mary Ann Gravens of Lebanon, will miss him deeply. William’s warmth and generosity also touched the hearts of numerous cousins and other relatives and many friends who will continue to cherish his memory.
William’s life was marked by his deep involvement in his community. He was baptized at Stoutland Christian Church, where he formed lasting bonds and contributed to the congregation’s fellowship. His work ethic was unparalleled, and he was known to be a hard worker who would do anything for anyone, often putting the needs of others before his own.
His passions were as genuine as his smile. William loved rock music and country music, and these genres were the soundtrack to his life’s most memorable moments. His love for music was only matched by his love for his community, where he was always ready to lend a helping hand. William had the biggest heart, and it shone brightly, illuminating the lives of those around him.
Described as kind, generous, and selfless, William lived his life in a manner that left no doubt about the depth of his character. “Loved by all his family and friends,” his presence was a gift to those who had the privilege of knowing him. It is said that he passed away with a smile, a fitting testament to a life lived with joy and a spirit of giving.
William Ray Webster’s journey on earth was a testament to the power of love and kindness. As we remember him, let us celebrate the profound impact he made on the world through his generosity and unwavering support for those around him. His memory will live on in the countless lives he touched, and his legacy will continue to inspire us all to live with the same compassion and selflessness that he so effortlessly embodied.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 29, 2024, at First Free Will Baptist Church, 280 Van Buren in Lebanon followed by a potluck dinner for family. Flowers, cards and etc. can be delivered at the church Thursday, Feb. 29 before 4 p.m.
