WILLIAM R. HOLLAWAY SR.

William R. Hollaway Sr., 68, of Richland, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2020, in Richland.
He was born Feb. 28, 1952, in San Antonio, Texas to Tom C. Hollaway Sr. and Susie (Emery) Hollaway.
William was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Vicki Jean (Marsala) Hollaway; one brother, Tom C. Hollaway Jr., and one sister, Ida Mae Hollaway.
He served in the U.S. Army for 21 years, retiring as a Master Sergeant. He served in Italy and California. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, collecting coins, playing the guitar and singing. He also enjoyed drawing and painting, and was an excellent mechanic. Most of all, he loved time spent with family, especially his grandchildren.
Survivors include his children, William Hollaway Jr., Billie Jean Brown and Jeana Ray, all of Richland, and Billie Ann Hollaway; grandchildren, Justin Ray, Gerald, Frankie and Billie Jean Brown II; a brother, John Wayne Hollaway of San Antonio, Texas; sisters, Ella Davidson, Patricia Hollaway, Phyllis Kester, Sylvia Homier, and Joan Holloway, all of San Antonio, Texas.
Services for William R. Hollaway Sr. will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2020, in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Waynesville, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
