WILLIAM “BILL’’ NIMMO

William “Bill’’ Nimmo, 81, of Elkland, died Sunday, Oct. 23, 2022.

He was born July 6, 1941, in Charity, Mo. to John and Martha Nimmo.

On Jan. 22, 1961, he married Mary Ellen Johnson.

He was preceded in death by his son Doug Nimmo; siblings Marjorie Powell, Phyllis Sharp, Helen Armstrong, John Jr. Nimmo, Doyle Nimmo and stepbrother Junior Canon.

Bill attended Charity and Elkland schools then graduated from Buffalo High School in 1959. He was a dedicated farmer, milking cows and working the land his entire life.

Bill turned his life over to the Lord in 1961 and was baptized the same year with his brother Doyle.

He is survived by his wife Mary Nimmo; son Troy Nimmo (Stephanie), daughter Deana Butcher (Michael); grandchildren Ashley Prieto (Josiah), Jordan Butcher (Cole), Austin Butcher, Dawson Nimmo (Ashley), Kayli Nimmo, Nicole Stander (Kevin), great-grandchildren Josi Prieto, Lane and Lemon Stander; siblings Chuck Nimmo, Polly Lillegard, stepsister Oretha Couch, brothers-in-law Donnie Johnson, Jim Johnson (Karren), Buddy Armstrong; sister-in-law, Carol Nimmo; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services for William “Bill’’ Nimmo will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 26, 2022, in the Cantlon-Otterness & Viets Funeral Home in Buffalo. Visitation is at 1 p.m. n the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the McGee Cemetery Fund.
