Longtime auctioneer, realtor and broker, William “Bill” W. Luallin, 91, of Lebanon, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 18, 2023, in Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach. He was born July 18, 1931, near Conway to Virgil W. Luallin and Ollie Price.

Bill spent his entire life in Laclede County, graduating from Conway High School. On Dec. 14, 1950, he married his true love, Nina Fay Keenan. Bill then faithfully served four years with the United States Air Force. When he returned from the Air Force, they settled on the Luallin Dairy farm and welcomed two daughters to their family, Kathy and Renee.

He farmed with his dad until 1977 when he made a career change into real estate. He began selling property in the Marshfield area and opened an office in Lebanon. He then became a broker and a certified appraiser for homes as well as farms. Bill was very much a ‘people person’ and his business began to thrive as he was an honest man and people felt comfortable working with him.

He also became an auctioneer and he enjoyed this very much. He enjoyed people and they in turn enjoyed being around him. He sold many properties and estates all over southwest Missouri.

Bill had professed his faith in Jesus Christ early in his life. He was the last survivor who helped build the Happy Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. After moving to Lebanon in 1977, Bill and his family joined First Baptist Church in Lebanon where Bill served as a deacon. When he and Nina moved their membership to Hillcrest Baptist Church in later years, he continued to serve as a deacon and was active in other ministries in the church. He had a deep love and faith for God and was active in promoting and helping any way he could at the Laclede Baptist Camp.

Bill was preceded in death by his parents and his loving wife, Nina on April 9, 2021.

He is survived by his daughters, Kathy Twyman and her husband, Floyd of Conway and Renee Meents and her husband, Randy of Greenfield; five grandchildren, Rebecca Strubbe and her husband, Shane, Rachel Sheets and her husband, Wayne, Leanne Cope and her husband, Glen, David Twyman and his wife, Amanda and Erin Amsberg and her husband, Matthew; eleven great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; two brothers, Rex Luallin and his wife, Bonnie of Conway, and Stan Luallin and his wife, Peggy of Columbia, S.C., and a host of nieces, nephews, friends and other relatives.

There was no doubt, Bill adored Nina. He loved going on drives with Nina. He was very attentive to her needs and they enjoyed attending Branson shows. His life revolved around his family, God and church. He enjoyed going to “The Lunch Box” in downtown Lebanon. He was always helping others and did many charity auctions.

Funeral services for William “Bill’’ W. Luallin were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Hillcrest Baptist Church in Lebanon. Burial was in Graceland Cemetery in Conway. Visitation was from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday at the church. A memorial has been established to the Laclede County Baptist Camp or Graceland Cemetery.
