Thursday evening marked the inauguration of five more inductees into the Chamber of Commerce Wall of Honor: Ida Reid, Larry Hooper, Don Clark, Jammie Litty, and Dr. J. Kent Richter. The banquet celebration was held at the Cowan Civic Center.
The evening began with the Conway High School Choir’s singing of the National Anthem and a meal catered by Andy’s 417. Wall of Honor Committee Chairman Kenneth Howe and Chamber Executive Director Ashley Mahan introduced the program by noting the impact each recipient has had on the community.
“It’s something really special we have here,” Mahan said.
Each recipient’s acknowledgement began with a video montage, a presentation speech, mostly from supporters of the recipients, and concluded with the presentation of the plaque to each recipient along with opportunity for the recipient to address the crowd.
