Former president of Detroit Tool, Dallas Vernon Jr. died Sunday evening. He was 98.
Vernon was born March 20, 1922, in the Vernon Homestead, 12 miles northwest of Lebanon, to Dallas and Beulah Tribble Vernon.
After the war ended he came back to Lebanon and started work as a draftsman at Detroit Tool. He was promoted in the company from draftsman to drafting manager, to vice-president, to president of Detroit Tool.
