Cowboy cooking to help area veterans is the aim of the annual Wagons for Warriors event, which is coming back to Lebanon next month after having to take a year off due to the pandemic. The 10th annual event is May 29 at the Lebanon Fairgrounds with lunch at noon. The chuck wagon parade is 11 a.m. May 28. Cowboy church at the wagons is 9 a.m. May 30. Lunch is at noon. Samples will be available for a $10 donation to veterans, ages 5 and under free. “For that $10 donation, you get to sample food off of every chuckwagon there,” said Event Organizer Steve Hull. “Don’t expect to go to one wagon and get a full meal, you’re making a $10 donations to sample food off of every wagon there.” People attending will have the chance to visit with the wagon crews.
