Vera Lea Rifenburg, 78, of Lebanon, died Wednesday morning, Sept. 29, 2021, at Mercy Hospital Springfield.
She is survived by her husband Ernest Rifenburg of Lebanon; a son, Kevin Rifenburg and his wife Alisa of Lebanon; a daughter, Denice Johnson and her husband Bill of Stockton; five grandchildren, Dereck Johnson and his husband Nate, Summer Waheed and her husband Ryan, Heather Steinmark and her husband Steven, Shawna Fletcher, and Sara Rifenburg; seven great-grandchildren; as well as her sister-in-law, Mary Officer, and nephew, Greg Officer, both of Springfield.
Funeral services for Vera Lea Rifenburg will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, in the Holman-Howe Funeral Home in Lebanon with Dan Talbott officiating. Burial will be Roper Cemetery near Morgan, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon. A visitation will be held from 1-2 p.m. Saturday in the funeral home. A memorial to the Roper Cemetery and to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has been established and contributions may be made through the funeral home.
