Ural Galena Copelin, 88, of Springfield, formerly of Laclede County, died Wednesday, Sept. 8, 2021.
She was born Jan. 24, 1933, in Oakland, Mo. to Reuel and Glennis D. Broyles.
Ural was preceded in death by her parents; husband John Copelin; one sister, Wathena Brockett of Rock Island, Ill., and one brother, Ambrose Broyles of Springfield.
She graduated from senior high school in 1951 and St. John’s School of Nursing in 1954, and upon graduation from nursing school, she served as a Lieutenant JG in the U.S. Navy.
She was a member of Second Baptist Church in Springfield.
Survivors include her children, Nokomis Myers and John H. Copelin and his wife Kimberlea; grandchildren, Troy Myers and Lauren Copelin; a sister, Reuelene Hilton and a brother, Avery Broyles and his wife Judy, both of Springfield.
Graveside services for Ural Galena Copelin were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, 2021, in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens, under the direction of Greenlawn Funeral Home North.
