In our "Emergency Management weather chief talks severe weather preparedness" article in March 4's issue, we wrote of Missouri's annual statewide tornado drill scheduled for March 4. On March 3 after press time, the National Weather Service of Springfield's Facebook announced that drill was cancelled for southeast Kansas and southwest Missouri due to Wednesday's chances of thunderstorms. The rest of Kansas and Missouri could participate, the announcement read.
