TROY “CRAIG’’ DAMPIER

Troy “Craig’’ Dampier, 52, of Lebanon, died Thursday, Jan. 12, 2023.

He was born Sept. 11 1969, to Dorothy Mae “Jill’’ Glendenning Ivey and Troy Dampier Jr., who both preceded him in death. He also was preceded in death by his sister, Misty Dickinson; his grandparents, Cleo and Elizabeth Glendenning and Troy and Lisa (Vaughn) Dampier.

Craig, as he was known, attended Joel E. Barber School and Lebanon High School, graduating with the class of 1987. He then joined the Marine Reserves. He was an excellent tree trimmer and worked for Asplund for many years. Craig was a very loving, caring person who loved being at the river, exploring the outdoors, and riding four-wheelers with his son and grandson. He loved being with family and friends.

He attended Community Baptist Church and had a strong faith in Jesus Christ.

Survivors include his son, Dalton Dampier (Carolyn) and their children, Kayden and Karter Dampier, as well as Dalton’s mother, Konya (Grimes) Dampier; his stepfather, Tom Ivey, all of Lebanon, and two brothers, Mike and Terry Fisk of Houston, Texas; also many family and friends.

A memorial Celebration of Life will be held at 2 p.m. May 21, 2023, at Riverfront Campground.
