Terry Wayne Christner, 60, of Lebanon, died Monday, May 8, 2023, in Springfield.
He was born Aug. 5, 1962, in Lebanon to Jack and Helen Tuttle Christner.
Those preceding him in death include his parents; five siblings; one son, James Slover, and longtime family friend, Sue Gregory.
Terry began working at Lowe Boats when he was 17 years old. He was still employed with them. Through the years, he worked in every capacity at the factory. He earned much deserved respect from his co-workers and employers. They became his dear friends. Time spent and laughter shared with his family is what he treasured most.
He is survived by his children, Tara Blackburn and her husband Brian of Willard; Amanda Jones and her husband Ricky of Lebanon; Steve Wilmoth and his wife Kara of Ashland; Josh Slover of Springfield, and Gabe Hartwig of St. Louis; one brother, James Christner of Lebanon; one sister, Karla Liles of Lebanon; 13 grandchildren, Hadlea, Landree, Madisen, Creek, Weston, Aubryn, Logan, Chloe, Sophie, Brodie, Jazlin, Emit and Morgan; his best-friend, Rick Caudle of Lebanon; several nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
Funeral services for Terry Wayne Christner will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 16, 2023, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. Burial will be in Hufft Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. Monday also at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. Memorials have been suggested to Terry’s family. Donations may be left at or mailed to Shadel’s Colonial Chapel, P.O.
