Passersby who thought they heard a familiar song from the 80s coming from Cowan Civic Center Theatre Friday night were right.
Again tonight, perhaps because they still have a feeling that time is holding them down, some LHS Theatre Department students will be looking to cut footloose in their second performance of 1998's "Footloose the Musical" at 7 p.m.
Their teacher, Sabrina Sander, has placed veteran performers in the lead roles who seem very confident and familiar with their characters.
Jackson VanFosson plays Ren McCormack. He is a fan of the theatre experience.
"It's a huge family. There's a lot of parts to it. If you really take the time to know everybody and know what their jobs are, it's just a lot of fun. There's the tech people in the background doing all their work. You've got everyone on stage doing their scenes, getting prepared. It's a lot of fun to be around," VanFosson said.
