Special Olympics returns to Lebanon and sparks a Wednesday fundraiser

Posted

It has been a few years since the Special Olympics were in Lebanon.

Errin Budolfson wants to bring it back.

Consequently, she and Valissa Howe met with the Special Olympics organization and decided to form a bowling team for their first appearance in the Special Olympics in November.

The team will be called Lebanon Courage. It is for kids age 8 and older.

“We had a sign-up event on August 4. The turnout was amazing.  We ended up having 20 people sign up for the team … We also had people wanting to volunteer, so if we need a volunteer to help us go to a tournament, we had people really interested in that, too,” Budolfson said.
