Shirley Jean Henson, 88, of Grain Valley, formerly of Laclede County, was born Nov. 5, 1935, in Buhl, Idaho to Carl and Fern (Heard) Schneider and died Friday, Feb. 23, 2024. She is survived by her husband, Jim Henson of the home; three children: son, Ted Henson (Cheryl) of Grain Valley, daughter, Cindy Vanarsdall (Dennis) of Grain Valley, and daughter, Cathy Kennon (Marvin) of Grain Valley; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; a brother, Charles Schneider (Joyce) of Lebanon, brother, David Schneider of Lebanon, and sister, Beverly Schneider of Lebanon. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m.-noon Monday, March 4, 2024, at First Baptist Church in Grain Valley, with a Celebration of Life to follow. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made to First Baptist Church, Grain Valley.
