Sherry Lyn (Mitchell) Freeman, 77, of Mountain Grove, was born Aug. 19, 1948, in Houston, Mo. to Roy Everett and Beulah Fern (Varnell) Mitchell and died Friday, Aug. 7, 2026, at her home.
She is survived by a daughter, Shawna Freeman of Springfield; two brothers Gary Mitchell and his wife Kathy of Highlandville and Dennis Mitchell and his wife Carolyn of Mountain Grove.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 15, 2026, at First Christian Church in Mountain Grove. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, under the direction of Craig-Hurtt Funeral Home of Mountain Grove. Visitation will be 10-11 a.m. at the church.
Memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
