SHARON (MATHIS) FINCHER

Sharon (Mathis) Fincher, 79, of Conway, died Monday, Jan. 18, 2021, in Springfield.

She was born April 26, 1941, in Niangua, Mo. to Sheldon and Scetta Crow Mathis.

On March 5, 1966, she married Charles Bradford Fincher.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother, Larry Wayne Mathis.

Sharon worked for the Division of Social Services as a stenographer for several years. She then worked for the Conway School District, where she held many positions over the years.

She was a member of Conway Christian Church.

Survivors include her husband Charles; two sons, David Bradford Fincher and his wife Sandy of Moberly, and Jerry Dean Fincher of Phillipsburg; one brother, Steve Mathis of Richland; two sisters, Phyllis Legan and her husband Harold of Marshfield, and Connie Lemery and her husband Gary of Lebanon; four grandchildren, Adam Fincher and his wife Val, Anna Culbertson and her husband Jess, Alex Daniel Fincher and Alex Joseph Fincher; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Sharon (Mathis) Fincher will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 21, 2021, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with the Rev. David Fincher officiating. Burial will be in Mathis Cemetery in Webster County, also on Friday, Jan. 22. There will be a visitation beginning at 10 a.m. until service time on Friday at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
