SFC (Ret) Steven Raymond Direen, 64, of Laquey, died Friday, Jan. 1, 2021, in his home.
He is survived by his mother, Carolyn Direen of Taylor, Mich.; three children, Johnny Sprouse of Rolla; Kevin Sprouse (Heather) of Licking, and Michael Direen (Mindy) of Edmond, Okla.; eight grandchildren, Logan, Alex, Alexis, Jace, Collin, Jarryd, Aivah, and Mylah; three brothers, Harry Direen (Sue) of Colorado Springs, Colo.; Dan Direen (Cheryl) of San Bernardino, Calif., and Michael Direen of San Diego, Calif.; five sisters, Debbie Avilucea (Leo) of Spring Valley, Calif.; Becky Stroller (Ronnie) of Upland, Calif.; Anne Greer (David) of Taylor, Mich.; Tina Graham (Mike) of Ardmore, Okla. and Michelle Mitchell of Chandler, Ariz.; his girlfriend, Marilyn Lamers of Laquey; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for SFC (Ret) Steven Raymond Direen will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Jan. 11, 2021, in the Memorial Chapels and Crematory of Waynesville/St. Robert. Burial with full military honors will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery of Waynesville/St. Robert.
