Seven wrestlers qualify for State tournament

A week after nine LHS girls’ wrestlers punched their ticket to the State wrestling tournament in Columbia, seven LHS boys’ wrestlers qualified for a spot at the prestigious tournament on Friday and Saturday. Seniors Davis Joiner and Cade Muscia were the team’s district champions. Joiner won the 126-pound division with a semifinal win over Ozark’s Caden Harrington via major decision (13-1) and defeated Cooper Nally of Lee’s Summit by major decision in the finals (10-1).
