Scout Thad Adams chooses honoring flags for his Eagle project

On Nov. 11, Thad Adams presided over a ceremonial beginning to the flag retirement facility he masterminded as his Eagle Scout project. The first installment of the project that will qualify him to rise to the highest rank that the Scouts organization offers was a wooden collection box for flags in need of retirement. That was not good enough for him. "First, I started with a dedicated collection box for flags, and I was like 'Okay, it's a wooden box. Maybe a little bit more than just a wooden box,' so then I decided to do this," Adams said. For more on this story, see the LCR.
