Lebanon City Administrator Mike Schumacher announced his resignation at Monday night's City Council meeting.
Schumacher said he has accepted the position of St. Joseph City Manager and will leave in January.
“The mayor and I have already started to discuss the transition,” he said. “I want to be clear, the mayor and this council have been fantastic.” He told the Council, “This team is much bigger than one person, so this team will go forward under your leadership and guidance and do great things.”
Schumacher joined the city in 2018. In a statement, he cited improvements during his tenure, including improved communications, a growing population and an expanding housing market.
