Sammy Lee Hammock, 71, of Marshfield, was born Nov. 3, 1954, in Wichita, Kan. to Sam and Gail (Mueller) Hammock and died Tuesday, March 24, 2026, at Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
He is survived by his wife Kathy of the home; three children, Shannon Peelor and Jeff of Marshfield, Simon Hammock and Daniel Jordan-Hammock of Tampa, Fla., Amanda Crisler and Darrin of Bois D’Arc; his father, Sam Hammock and his wife Bonnie of Nixa; two grandsons; brothers and sisters, Pam Darnaby and Greg of Springfield, Kim Hammock of Republic, Sandi Thompson and Eric of Battlefield, Tracy Eastman Hammock of Aurora, Billy Hammock and Suzette of Crane; and his in-laws, Charles and Candice McDowell of Parkville.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, April 3, 2026, at Four Rivers Church in Marshfield, under the direction of Fraker Funeral Home, Inc. of Marshfield.
A memorial has been established to Four Rivers Church Praise Team and contributions may be left at the funeral home.
