Salvation Army in need of bellringers, volunteers

Posted
The Salvation Army is in need of help during the winter and upcoming holiday season. According to Laclede County Salvation Army Director Sue Watson, they need financial help and bellringers. She said they are continuing to hand out food boxes to those in need. “We have 300 boxes with meat and vegetables and a gallon of milk in them,” Watson said. “We give them out every Wednesday through the end of December,” she said. “We’re trying to help people that way.” But Watson said while they now have food, thanks to donations, including from Lebanon Area Foundation, they need more help for the current season. Anyone wanting to help can call Salvation Army at 532-5135 or send donations to Salvation Army, Box 607, Lebanon. For more on this story see Saturday's LCR.
