Ruth Ellen Patty, 75, of Lebanon, died Thursday, Feb. 18, 2021, in Springfield.
She was born Sept. 15, 1945, in Allentown, N.J. to George and Emily Southard Powell.
On June 20, 1964, she married Jimmy Dean Patty.
She was preceded in death by her parents, and one brother, Ronald Powell.
Ruth graduated from high school in Allentown, N.J. with the class of 1961. She then attended and graduated from college in Columbia, where she obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in criminal justice. She was a deputy in in the Boone County Jail several years ago and most recently an administrative secretary. Ruth was an avid bowler, a Red Cross participant and hospice volunteer. She loved her family dearly.
She is survived by her husband Jimmy; one daughter, Deborah Mullin and her husband Michael of Cedar Lake, Ind.; one brother, Jeffery Powell of Pennsylvania; one sister, Margaret Powell of New Jersey; three grandchildren; other relatives and many friends.
There is no service planned at this time for Ruth Allen Patty. At her request, her body is to be cremated under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon.
