Ronnie Eugene Jones, 62, of Lebanon, died Wednesday, July 1, 2020, in Springfield.

He was born Aug. 4, 1957, in Lebanon, Mo. to Euran and Jenny Louise Chastain Jones.

On Aug. 4, 1983, he married Jonita Mae Rogers.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one sister, Virginia Knudtson; sisters-in-law, Bonnie Jones, Amy Jones and Juanita Rogers.

Ronnie was a jack of all trades. He was a mechanic and a carpenter. He could build and fix anything and passed those traits on to his sons. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping. However, time spent with his family, especially his children and grandchildren is what he loved most.

He is survived by his wife Jonita; two sons, Jeremiah Eugene “J.J.” Jones and his fiancée Brandi Smallwood of Lebanon, and Ronnie Eugene Jones, Jr. of the home; the daughter he never had, Kimmy Lowerance of Lebanon; six brothers, LeRoy and his wife Barbara, Ray and his wife Brenda, Harold Dean, Benny, and Howard and his wife Sarah, all of Lebanon, and Randy Jones of Windyville; one sister, Vickie Blattel, also of Lebanon; three grandchildren, Lexie Belle Jones, Koby Remington Eugene Jones and Jaylynn Ann Louise Jones; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece and caregiver, “Sis,” several great-nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

Funeral services for Ronnie Eugene Jones will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 7, 2020, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with David Arnold officiating. Burial will be in Flatwoods Cemetery, under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, July 6, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel.
