Ronald Lloyd Jones, 75, of Niangua (Wright County), died Thursday, July 2, 2020, in Niangua.
He was born Nov. 29, 1944, in Laclede County, Mo. to Elmer Ester and Chloe Marie Huckaby Jones.
On March 6, 1965, he married Loretta Faye Dinwiddie.
He was preceded in death by his parents, and one brother, Jimmy Jones.
Ronald attended school in Competition. For several years, he owned and operated a mechanic shop. He later began a career in the construction of pole barns. This career included his son, Ronnie, and they have worked together since Ronnie was 14 years old.
Ronald was of the Baptist faith and attended Little Vine, Mt. Pisgah and Pleasant View Baptist churches throughout the years.
Survivors include his wife, Loretta Jones; one son, Ronnie Jones and his wife Becky of Niangua; two daughters, Lisa Armstrong and Rhonda Armstrong and her husband Stanley, all of Lebanon; one sister, Helen Bass and her husband David of Grovespring; four brothers, William Jones and David Jones of Lebanon, Howard Jones and his wife Bev of Phillipsburg, and Lonnie Jones of Eldridge; nine grandchildren, Christa Sharp (Daniel), Billy Armstrong (Katrina), Dalton Armstrong (Laura), Dakota Armstrong (Shilyn), Arlena Armstrong, Brianna, Ashley, Haley and Nathan Jones; seven great grandchildren, Weston, Willy, Braxton, Riley, Cameron, AylaJo and Easton; other relatives and many dear friends.
Funeral services for Ronald Lloyd Jones will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 8, 2020, at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel with Gary Dedmon officiating. Burial will be in McBride Cemetery under the direction of Shadel’s Colonial Chapel of Lebanon. Visitation will begin at noon Wednesday, July 8, prior to the service at 2 p.m. at Shadel’s Colonial Chapel. To sign the guestbook online visit shadelscolonialchapel.com.
