Robert L. Daniels, 89, of Lebanon, died Tuesday, Jan. 26, 2021, in Lebanon.

He was born Sept. 27, 1931, in Plato, Mo. to Roy and Edith Johnson Daniels.

On Dec. 23, 1953, he married Carol Williams.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Roy Jr. and Wayne Daniels; and three sisters, Betty Jean, Shirley and Janice.

Robert proudly served our country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged on March 2, 1960. He then began working for Civil Service at Fort Leonard Wood until his retirement. In his free time, Robert enjoyed carpentry work, listening to music and visiting with family and friends.

He made a profession of faith in Christ at an early age and at the time of his passing had been a longtime, active and faithful member of Community Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife Carol; one son, Paul Daniels and his wife Pam of Lebanon; one sister, Patricia of the state of California; four grandchildren, Paige Thornhill and her husband Jeremy, Parker Daniels and his wife Courtney, Jamie Palmer and his wife Kristen and Allison Palmer; seven great-grandchildren, Noah, Josiah, Max, Emmylou, Wilder, William and Joseph; numerous nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.

A private graveside service and burial for Robert L. Daniels will be held on Friday, Jan. 29, 2021 with Pastor Allen Reeves and Pastor Charles Newell officiating. There is no scheduled visitation for Robert L. Daniels. Friends and family are invited to sign the register book, and pay their respects to Robert beginning Thursday afternoon until the departure for the cemetery on Friday. The family asks for their safety and the safety of others, that masks be worn. Those guidelines will be monitored during this time to accommodate the family and their wishes.
