Most of the Tuesday Laclede Commission meeting took place in court as the commissioners and the County Clerk Linda Cansler listened in on a case regarding a county tax issue for Lebanon Special Road District #1 and the Phillipsburg Special Road District #3 tax levy for 2022.
With the April 5, 2022 ballot, the voters and taxpayers of the districts voted to renew the Lebanon Special Road District’s road and bridge tax at 20.40 cents per $100 assessed valuation for a period not to exceed four years while the Phillipsburg Special Road District certified tax rate was.2322 cents with its Special Road and Bridge tax set at .2280 cents.
