He was a recipient of the Auto Mechanic Award at Lebanon High School.

Richard was a jack-of-all-trades and was known to help so many people.

In his spare time, he enjoyed fishing and farming where he raised cattle and baled hay. He was a gardener and was especially talented at growing wonderful tomatoes. He was also known for his wonderful pie-making skills, in particular, his homemade pie crust. The crust he made would melt in your mouth.

Above all, he looked forward to the times he could spend with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They made his eyes sparkle and his heart happy each time he was with them.

Richard was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Bob Fletcher, Don Fletcher, Dallas Fletcher and an infant brother and his daughter-in-law, Brenda Fletcher.
