Richard Lee Piercy, 58, of Lebanon, died Sunday, May 28, 2023 at his home.

Richard was born June 24, 1964 in Indiana to Chester Piercy and Freda Starnes Piercy. During his younger years, he lived in Indiana and Illinois, and when he was four years old, he moved with his family to Arizona. At the age of twenty, he moved to Missouri.

He always worked very hard and was currently employed at Detroit Tool. He also enjoyed riding motorcycles and for his 50th birthday, had ridden his motorcycle to Sturgis for the annual motorcycle rally held there.

He also loved his church family at Family Church. The friendships he made there were very special to him and he cherished those connections very much.

Richard was preceded in death by his father, Chester Piercy; and two brothers, Bill Piercy and Larry Piercy.

He is survived by his wife, Polly Piercy of the home; his children, Ricky Piercy and his wife, Kati, Tashia Knight and her husband, Robert, Robert Stark and his wife, Randi and David Stark, all of Lebanon; Shaina Potter, Courtney McCarthy-Compton and Michelle Barnett, all of Springfield, and Suzee Henson and her husband, Bryan of Fort Leonard Wood.; his mother, Freda Statts of Lebanon; three brothers, Jack Piercy of Goodyear, Ariz.; Mike Piercy and Greg Piercy, both of Lebanon; a number of grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

Richard was a good dad and a good grandpa. He was very outgoing and made friends wherever he went. He was ornery, and continued to get more so. When he married Polly in 2012, he changed his life for the better by getting close to God. His family is thankful for the memories they have with him and will treasure the support of family and friends as they navigate the coming days.

A memorial service for Richard Piercy was held at 2 p.m. Thursday, June 1, 2023, at Lebanon Family Church.
