RICHARD FREDERICK FIEGENBAUM

Richard Frederick Fiegenbaum Jr., 73, of Lebanon, died Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at his home.

He was born Nov. 19, 1947, in Higginsville, Mo. to Richard Frederick Fiegenbaum Sr. and Alvena Bandermann Fiegenbaum.

On June 29, 1969, he married Evelyn Lydia Maude Croka, and to this union three sons were born.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife Evelyn, on Dec. 14, 2016.

Richard was raised in North Central Missouri and graduated from Mayview High School in Mayview, Mo. He entered the military as a young man and served his country faithfully in the United States Army in a career that spanned 25 years. During his years in the Army, he was stationed in various places including Fort Hood, Fort Campbell, and in Germany. He worked as a military helicopter mechanic. After he and Evelyn were married, they made their home in several different places and lovingly raised their sons. After retiring from the Army, the family moved to Plato, Mo. in 1993, and then to Lebanon in 2011. Richard was a civil service employee at Fort Leonard Wood, where he worked as a mechanic at the Firestone Store for several years.

He had attended Sleeper United Methodist Church, near Lebanon for the last several years.

Survivors include three sons, Bruce Fiegenbaum and his wife Deanna of Lebanon; Brent Fiegenbaum and his wife Tonia of Plato, and Brian Fiegenbaum and his wife Jennah of Lebanon; five grandchildren, Deanna, Lucas, Isabella, Triska and Alivia; a brother, Harvey Fiegenbaum of Corder, Mo.; a sister, Charlotte Blackwell of Branson; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Richard Frederick Fiegenbaum Jr. will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, Jan. 29, 2021, at Slater Evangelical Church in Saline City, Mo. with the Rev. Barb McKenzie and the Rev. Marsha Vincent officiating. Burial will be in Salem Evangelical Cemetery in Saline City, Mo. with Full Military Honors, under the direction of Holman-Howe Funeral Home of Lebanon.
