A Republic woman was killed in a 1:16 a.m. wreck Saturday on Interstate 44 at the 123.8 mile marker.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, Crystal A. Hassett, 42, was lying in the roadway, having been ejected from a previous crash, when an unidentified vehicle struck the pedestrian and continued westbound. Hassett was pronounced dead at the scene by Laclede County Coroner Steve Murrell.
