Record seeks reader memories
for 2025 Progress edition

LCR Staff
The Laclede County Record is seeking reader submitted memories from now until January 31 to be featured in our 2025 Progress edition, “Memories of Laclede County”.
For the Record’s Progress theme this year, we are looking back through the decades with the help of various businesses and community leaders in the county, but we want to hear your stories, too. We are looking to highlight memories of residents from 1940 to 2025 to interest readers across generational lines.
Readers who have significant memories from any decade from the forties to the 2020s are encouraged to submit. These memories can be more personal triumphs or setbacks, watershed moments in the county or your community’s history, or anything else that can be tied back to Laclede County.
The Record would like to hear from Lebanon, Phillipsburg, Conway, Stoutland, Richland and all of our other communities in order to capture the scope of Laclede life throughout the past eighty years.
For submitted articles, please limit the word count to 350 or less. Readers can submit captioned photos with their related article. If a reader wishes to send only a photo, please date the photo and provide appropriate context in the related caption.
Please submit your memories by January 31 to reporter@laclederecord.com, mail them to P.O. Box 192 Attn "Memories," or drop them off at our office located at 100 East Commercial Street, Lebanon. Please leave your name and phone number with the submission.
Readers, if you send the Record a submission, we will reach out to confirm that we have received it. Closer to the Progress edition’s printing in March, we will reach back out to confirm whether a submission will be in that issue. We look forward to hearing your stories!
